The McGill Daily publishes a Native Peoples Special Issue

In 1985, The McGill Daily published a “Native Peoples Special Issue.”

Articles featured headlines such as “Native women reclaim their power,” “Natives not part of McGill’s academic world,” and “Indigenous people struggle for self-determination,” among others. The issues highlighted not only the progressive nature of the McGill student body, but also the strength of Indigenous students’ activism, which continues to this day.
