A Community Celebration will be held on Monday, August 22, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at James Square (in front of the James Administration Building), on our downtown campus.

There will be live jazz music, and hot dogs (with a vegetarian option), pastries and cake will be served, all under the supervision of Marty the Martlet! Enjoy delicious non-alcoholic apple beverages, including locally produced apple cider from Mont-Saint-Hilaire, home of McGill’s Gault Nature Reserve. (Food quantities are limited.)

1,000 plants cultivated at Macdonald Campus will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

“I hope that you will be able to take some time to participate and to socialize with your colleagues and friends. This will be an opportunity for me to thank you for your hard work and commitment to the mission of our University, and to say au revoir, as my tenure as Principal and Vice-Chancellor comes to an end.” Says Principal and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Suzanne Fortier.

Should the weather be inclement, the event will take place in the Leacock Building lobby.
