This series is organized in collaboration with the McGill University Health Centre and the MGH 200th Anniversary Organizing Committee.

A hundred years after the 1918 flu pandemic changed public health practices forever, the world faces another deadly and devastating disease, COVID-19. What are its effects on hospital staff and patient care? How is the battle with COVID-19 shaping medicine and defining the future of healthcare?

With Host Annie DeMelt and Special Guests:

Dr. Donald Vinh is an infectious disease specialist and medical microbiologist at the McGill University Health Centre, and Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at McGill.

Dr. Nitika Pant Pai is a global expert in HIV, Associate Professor in Clinical Epidemiology and Experimental Medicine at McGill and a physician- scientist at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre.

France Paquet is the nurse manager for the infection prevention and control department (adult side) of the McGill University Health Centre, a role she has held since October 2020.
