Communications and External Relations
David is a perfect example of an unsung hero.
Working behind the scenes, he has, for over twelve years, provided consistent and stalwart support to advancing McGill University, its mission, and strategic priorities. In many ways, he embodies McGill’s values of integrity and responsibility.
His work as a policy analyst in the government relations team often goes unnoticed because it is done upstream and, in the background, for example he analyzes the federal and provincial budgets to identify opportunities for McGill, and monitors the political landscape for upcoming issues that need to be managed.
Quiet, discreet, and dependable, David does not seek the limelight or recognition, but is more interested in developing meaningful relationships across the organization and among our many stakeholders, and getting the work done. David provides McGill leadership with high quality analysis of the federal, provincial and municipal political landscapes and drafts clear, well-written and in-depth briefing documents contributing to McGill’s ability to influence government policies. He is focused on aligning and complementing McGill’s positions and strategies with those of government.
Without David on the team, we would not be able to conduct effective and successful advocacy in Québec, Ottawa, or Montréal.
