Sharon Sholzberg, a second-year Law student, was elected the first female President of the Students’ Society of McGill University (SSMU) in 1965 with 52.2% of the vote.
She went on to work in healthcare advocacy and serve as the CEO of multiple non-profits, earning entry into the Order of Canada in 2018.
