In 2015, the ground-breaking McGill Space Institute launched, bringing together researchers engaged in astrophysics, planetary science, astrobiology, and many other areas of space research.
In addition to funding significant research and astrophysics fellowships, the Institute oversees a popular public outreach initiative known as AstroMcGill, which hosts free space- and science-related lectures for the public. These have included sky viewings, “Astro nights,” and public talks by scientists.
