McGill Art Hive Initiative

Thanks to the generosity of the Rossy Family Foundation, the University celebrated the launch of the McGill Art Hive Initiative in 2017.

The Art Hive functions as an open studio and “welcomes everyone as an artist, allowing self-expression, sharing of experiences, and innovative forms of community engagement.” Using recycled materials donated by McGill’s Faculty of Education, the Art Hive invites community members to make collaborative art pieces in an open setting.

McGill’s Art Hive is part of a network of over 20 art hives across Montreal, including a major hive at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.
