The Centre for the Study and Teaching of Writing was established.
1984
The Centre for Cognitive and Ethnographic Studies, and the Laboratory for Applied Cognitive Studies were established. A PhD program in Educational Psychology was also approved.
1986
The Centre for Educational Leadership (CEL) was established, providing professional development for educators.
1989
Teacher-training programs were provided for Cree and other First Nations communities.
