Antero Avila Branco

With over 40 years of service to McGill University, Antero, now retired, was always a joy to be around. With his smile, he would be the first to greet you in the morning and wish you a pleasant day. Friendly, generous and so professional, as Porter of the Bronfman building, Antero always went the extra mile to be helpful and to ensure the highest standards with regards to all Desautels Faculty of Management buildings and beyond. He had a wonderful way of creating a sense of community and arranged an annual holiday gathering for the faculty and other support units, which became a favourite tradition amongst many. While he is enjoying another phase of his life, until this day, he still stops by to say hello and drop off a fresh supply of Portuguese coffee and other goodies!
