Vernissage | McGilliana: 200 Years of Student Life

September 29, 2021

Event Description: Join us as we kick off the 2021-2022 academic year with our first in-person event of the semester. We are delighted to welcome you back to student life with a vernissage of “McGilliana: 200 Years of Student Life,” a bicentennial exhibition that highlights memorabilia and more from the McGill University Archives. Get a taste of campus life as it was 50, 100, or even 200 years ago. Join us for a sneak peek into the curatorial and creative work that took place behind the screens this past year. Exhibition curator Aeron MacHattie will give a guided tour through the material, and Jacquelyn Sundberg will give a talk on “Quiz That So!,” the library’s digital trivia game that features exhibition content.

Note, because our buildings are currently open for University Business only, this event will now be virtual, and hosted on Zoom.

The virtual exhibition goes live on September 29 and the physical exhibition will be on view in the lobby of McLennan Library Building from September 29 – December 17, 2021 during opening hours.

Copies of our latest publication, AMAZE: a McGill A to Z Experience will be available over the phone.
